Pemanfaatan sistem temu kembali informasi opac dalam meningkatkan kepuasan pemakai di perpustakaan IAIN Sunan Ampel :
This study tries to describe the satisfaction degree of the online public acces catalog (OPAC) users at IAIN Sunan Ampel library, the factors affecting the satisfaction degree, and the role og librarians as intermediary in helping users. Using a qualitative approuch, the research findings are as follow: first, OPAC is used to find references for the lecture subjects and for making assigments. Second, OPAC is used by the users to refind information though dictionary and bolean non-logical formulation. Thirs, there is a lack of intermediary process done by librarians in finding information. Fourth, despite the high degree of satisfaction, there is still a significant number of users who say that the process is unsatisfactory. Fifth, the negative factor causing dissatisfaction is the limited number of available acces terminals and unavailability of many references in IAIN library.
