Pesantren, as one of educational and Islamic da'wah institution, was born and had being developed since the early corning of Islam in this country. But terminologically it is acknoledged in Indonesian act after the goverment legislate the new regulation number 20/2003 which regulate National education system. this acknowledgement has internal consequence on pesantren itself. Pesantren according to this act shoud adopt new element which might be penetrated the specific character and tradition of its own.het.
