The Islamic scholars less pay attention to the history and methodology of Qur'an exegesis. In order to overcome that problem, some researchers exegesis works. However, the effort has still not enough because all exegesis works has not been studied yet. Among the works which don't get notice are exegesis works in High Institution of Islamic Religion [PTAI]. By this reasoning, this writing research exegesis works in State Institute for Islamic Studies [IAIN] Sunan Kalijaga, oldest PTAI and most well known in Indonesia. Data sources include 11 dissertation S3 and 3 theses S2 chosen purposively. Data analysis uses perspective of research paradigm entailing substance, theory, and methodology. This research find that exegesis works in state institute for Islamic studies [IAIN] Sunan Kalijaga happened significant dynamic. It is known that there is dialogue and syntheses among science of the classic exegesis, the social science and humanities on aspect of substance, theory and methodology.if.
