In modern democracy, every citizen has he right to know and obtain information about the activities of public agencies. The obligations of public agencies are to provide the society with good, fast, accurate, and transparent information. Rights and obligations between citizens and public agencies are set and guaranteed in legislative regulation. This paper attempts to explain the importance of public information service based e-government as one alternative to obtain the effective and efficient public information service than through street level bureaucratic service.ifa.
