There are several researches that have been done on banking industries. Among others are an empirical research on the degree of effectiveness of government banks, national private banks, national private banks, foreign private banks as well as public banks. The finding of the research shows that the average degree of effectiveness of public banks is higher than that of other banks, and the average degree of effectiveness of goverment banks aq well as national private banks is lower than that of other banks. Another empirical research has been done by Wijaya on the Return on Equity [ROE], Return on Assets [ROA] and Loan to Deposit Ratio [LDR] of devise and non devise banks before economic crisis. It is found that there is a significant difference of ROE, ROA and LDR between devise banks and non devise banks before economic crisis. This present contribution tries to do the same research as Wijaya's study but it takes the context after the economic crisis. It is found that there...ifa.
