Islamic waqf law has been developed in line with the development of other branches of fiqh. Historically, its development has been going on in line with community demands. The absence of explicitprovisions of law related to waqf caused friction among the Muslim jurists [fuqaha']. Therefore, the waqf law provides and some legal rules about how endowments should be practiced within framework of Shari'ah law in which the view is not entirely a single but divided into several different schools of thought.ifa.
