This work tries to present al Kindi's standpoint of the reconciliation between religion and philosophy. Using the descriptive method of analysis, the writer maintains that the philosophy and religion are two ultimate fields in human life, due to the fact that they affect and determine the history of human civilization. In relation to this, Aberry points out that philosophy and religion are the most popular and essential subjects being talked about throught the history of human civilization. Philosophy is that of mode of thought and it starts from the human intellect. Meanwhile, religion is that of bilief and derived from heavenly revelation. Nevertheless, the history of muslim civilization has been witnessing the irrefutable dispute over whether or not philosophy and religion are agreeable to each other. syur.
