This article is aimed at recounting how Islam developed in West kalimantan. The writer specifically the history and development of the religion in Embau, a river in the interior area about 700 kilometers from the coast line. The writer assert that proselytizing approaches, religious teachers figures, educational institutions are among the main factors why Islam is embraced by the people in this region-where astoningly 100 percent of its people are moslems.het.
