This is continuation of earlier article on the history of Islamic education in Sambas. The writer specifically discusses the history of Islam in Sambas by looking into the history of education. The discussion includes phases of development of Islamic education in the Sambas Sultanate, development of sultaniyah of Islamic school, Tarbiatoel Islam school, and kullijatul Mubhalighin. This article describes how educational instutions played an important role in the development of Islam in Sambas, as well as in the social and political development in which the Sultans used the institution to stregthen their power.het.
