In the historical perpective, the seeds of tafsir bayani have already been recorded by the interpreters since long time ago. The interpretation of al Qur'an using literary approach actually has been started since the prophet era. The historical data shows that Prophet Muhammad SAW had given the intrepretation of Al Qur'an using Arabic literary discipline of terminology which develops recently. Through, the researcher did not use the Prophet interpretation as an initial period of interpretation in the history of al Qur'an interpretation. Bayan means clear, real, and understandable of something, describing intention with clear and understandable word. Bayan demands the exixtence of harmony [at tanasub] and compability [at taqafuq] accurately through short word [al ijaz], simple [al bast], or detail [al tafsil]. It depens on the context.ifa.
