Fath al Rahman bi al Sharh al Wali Raslan is the work of Abu Yahya Zakariyya al Anshari al Syafi'i. The work is a tasawuf book referred by many Moslem scholars of Nusantara in 17 century up to 19 century. Because of this reason, interesting for us studies content and pattern of tasawuf that is containing in this work. By using research method of content analysis and philology, this research expalins that one of contents of Fath al Rahman describes the breakdown of teaching about maqam, that is a station of spiritual journey passed by a sufi. There are seven maqam must be passed by a sufi, that is ma'rifah, kashf, mushahadah, mua;ayanah, ittisal, fana', and baqa'. Some tasawuf scholars divided tasawuf into two categories, tasawuf akhlaqi and falsafi. From description of maqam in the book of Fathul al Rahman, this research concludes that pattern of tasawuf which is recorded in Fath al Rahman is tasawuf akhlaqi, although using terms of tasawuf falsafi.ifa.
