The research thesis is an important part of a final process of an academic career of a student, and also can be a media of dialogue between students and lecturers on the development of sciences and knowledges. Thus, the thesis can actually be used as the media of evaluation of the development process of sciencies and academic dialogues that occur in a college. This study examines students' thesis of STAIN Ponorogo by answering two problems, namely themes and ideas that exist in the thesis, and methodology used in writing. To answer these problems, research data are gathered from the results of thesis written by students at three majors in STAIN Ponorogo. Furthermore, the content analysis of the thesis was conducted to obtain a qualitative understanding. The results of this study demonstrated that knowledges at STAIN Ponorogo were still dominated by pure studies of Islam. The studies using inter-disciplinary approaches are still rare when compared to mono-disciplinary studies.ifa.
