The issue of pluralism which has emerged at the West has been spreading into Muslim World. Unfortunately, by some modernist scholars such issue is regarded as something taken for granted and therefore it should be floored as wide as possible. For them, al Qur'an by some of its verses such al Baqarah 62 and al Maidah 69 acknowledges the truth of pluralism. After applying the methodology of mufassirs' interpretation and referring to their works as well, this study comes with the result that none of such claimed verses and prophetic traditions as well can be judged as an argument of pluralism. All that can be concluded is that both those claimed verses and prophetic traditions are only and acknowledgment of Islam on the existence of other religions not their truth and that is the shape of tolerance according to Islam as practiced by The Prophet Muhammad Saw.ifa.
