An analysis of English teacher’s strategies in accommodating the seventh graders’ learning styles at MTsN 1 Munjungan, Trenggalek
The research is conducted to find out three major goals. The first is the students’ VAK learning style. It examines 30 students of the seventh grade of MTsN Munjungan as the sample. The second goal from this research is going to find out the strategies applied by teacher in order to accommodate the students’ visual, auditory and kinesthetic, and the third reveals the students’ responses toward the English teacher’s strategies. rnDescriptive qualitative is applied by the researcher in the research. To gain the data the researcher uses some instruments they are the questionnaire list from Rebecca Oxford, it finds out about the students learning styles are. Observation checklist is applied for observing the teachers’ strategies in accommodating the seventh graders’ learning styles directly.rnFrom the observation concludes that the majority of the students belong to visual learners and only five students belong to auditory, while 7 students are categorized as kinesthetic learners. Beside, the teacher’s strategies applied by the English teacher is in line with the response of the studentsrn
